Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

Where a website ranks on Google and other search engines has a major impact on how many people visit.

Over the years, I have tried various companies to improve Natural Scratch's ranking but can't say anything worked all that well.

Now my host company, hostmonster.com, is offering an optimization service so I am going to give it a try.

I've had various host companies over the years but none in the same league with hostmonster.com  It's the best by far.

Hope it works out.

Harbingers Of Winter

This morning, October 17, I saw the first junco of the fall-winter season.  This friendly species is associated with the coming of colder weather and snow; it is  nicknamed the snowbird.

One landed on the deck around 7:00 a.m.

More will follow and soon the area around our feeder will have regular junco visitors.  They tend to eat whatever falls out of the feeder rather than landing on it.

Next spring they will in turn announce the coming summer when they disappear from Southeastern Wisconsin until the following autumn.

Many Posts, Planks, And A Slab

No two cats are alike and our different feline buddies have different preferences when it comes to scratching.

After starting with a 32" white cedar post almost 20 years ago, roygbivdesignsLLC has steadily added to the product line to meet the needs of different cats.

Now there are cork posts in two heights, a sisal-wrapped post, three cedar planks, and a cork slab.

All are accompanied by a training method that teaches people how to train their cats to claw a Natural Scratch product and nothing else.  And each one is guaranteed.
