Testimonials

E-mails that report Natural Scratch appeals to a cat or cats and has solved a clawing problem warm my heart.

When I started this business years ago, my intention was to provide a product that worked with most cats.   Natural Scratch has achieved that.

Although I think the cedar and cork materials are excellent for the purpose and that features such as the Mouse Hole and Antenna help people interest their cats in the posts, the best part of Natural Scratch is the training booklet.

Many, many customers have written to mention that it helped them attract and train their cats.

Cats whittle a sculpture

One of the best things about Natural Scratch is that it lasts and lasts and keeps looking better with use. Sometimes cats scratch the post so frequently it begins to look like a beaver chewed on it. As I've mentioned many times to customers, cats whittle a sculpture over time.

Since Natural Scratch sales began back in the nineties, I've only had one customer who reported her cats had clawed it to a point where the top was threatening to topple down. Many other customers have ordered new posts short of that, but only after five or six years of daily clawing.

'Course I need to add that many posts--even Natural Scratch--will last forever because the cat or cats won't scratch them. This is why training is key..and the reason Natural Scratch comes with an easy-to-follow training guide.

Scratching Post Stability

Watching cats scratch Natural Scratch is fun. It's amazing how deeply they dig in and how much joy they get from it.

Our three cats scratch the post regularly, at least several times a day. They often squint their eyes some and get this faraway look. It's easy to imagine how good it must feel to them.

Regardless of how hard they claw Natural Scratch, though, the post barely moves because the effective footprint supplied by the 32-inch-long base pieces is large.

Not once since I began selling the post in the nineties has anyone written to say her or his cat was able to tip it over. More later...
